Key Responsibilities
1. To lead, build capability and a strong and agile LPC team, consistent with LPA processes and systems.
2. Drive the activities of the NPD projects from brief, concept generation to presentation to the customer.
3. Support and develop interactions and relationships across group design departments (LPC, LPA and DC), and ensure consistent application of processes and systems.
4. To manage and maintain the software and hardware in LPC facilities and ensure they are in tip-top condition.
5. Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing, operations, supply chain, finance, and all other stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical project milestones and deliverables for strategic opportunities.
6. Identifying any potential risks or gaps in active projects and delivering critical problem-solving actions.
7. Development of templates, documentation, testing methods and all other necessary collateral for Detmold products as required.
8. Prepare project status reports, facilitate technical and non-technical meetings / design / specification and testing reviews; keeping management and other stakeholders informed of project status and other related project information.
9. Work with the Technical, Production and Engineering teams to expand, optimise production capability and making our processes manufacturing friendly.
10. Work with Procurement to evaluate and incorporate new materials.
11. Work with the New Product Introduction team for implementing products into manufacturing.
12. Determine product requirements; keep abreast of any developments in legislation which may affect product design and any developments in technologies and techniques affecting the design process or outcomes.
13. Host product development workshops to meet customer needs and exceed their expectations
Key Skills & Experience
• Tertiary education in Engineering or graphic art and at least 5 years’ relevant work experience
• Hands on for packaging solution, be familiar with the packaging material
• Experience in packaging manufacturing environment is an added advantage
• Expert in designing software eg. Artios CAD, Auto CAD and Esko software
• Strong in product structure design, innovation and creative design
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Familiar in printing and packaging process and technology
• Culture fit-in, adopt in the team
Knowledge & Experience
